Kintore 13's 0
Stonehaven YFC 0

Today Kintore had a home game against Stonehaven YFC. With Harry Rae, Matthew Stephen and Ryan Parker all out it was a reorganized starting line up. The game started brightly with both teams testing each others defences but Dylan Chapman and Jack Chalmers were coping well. Stonehaven were having a lot of possession and creating some good chances but Stuart Derval had some great saves. Cameron McDonald was working hard in midfield and winning more and more of the ball. Liam Duthie was coming on to a good game and causing a lot of problems with his long throws. Stonehaven won a corner and looked like scoring when Owen Lawson cleared off the line. Cameron Cobban and Danny Hedley were linking well and Cameron was played through one on one with the keeper but pulled his shot just wide.

Another corner from Stonehaven looked to be going over the line but Stuart Derval pulled off a great save. Matt Milne on for Cameron McDonald was causing problems going forward on the right when he beat two players but was pulled to the ground. Kintore were unlucky from the free kick which led to a goal mouth scramble and as it was cleared Ewan McBain had his effort blocked. Liam Duthie worked a one two with Matt Milne and fired in a good cross but Owen Lawson just couldn't get onto the end of it.

Half Time 0-0

The second half got under way with Ewan Reid in goal for Stuart Derval. Stonehaven went on the attack straight away and Ewan Reid had a good stop from a low shot. Stonehaven were having a good spell and Ewan had to save one with his foot and then touch one over the bar. Matt Milne was starting to be a good outlet up front holding the ball up well and taking the pressure off the defence. Kintore were getting stronger now and Cameron McDonald saw his effort go just over. Stonehaven were playing on the break now as Kintore had most of the possession. Stonehaven were breaking quickly but Dylan Chapman was playing out of his skin and winning everything. Kintore forced corner after corner, one of them almost caught the keeper out as Matt Milne's in-swinger just about went in at the back post.

Owen Lawson went close as his shot from outside the box just went over. It was a good spell for Kintore now with Stuart Derval up front with Matt Milne. They were linking well and bringing the midfield into the game more. Cameron Cobban had a chance but blazed his shot over from the edge of the box. Kintore almost stole it near the end but a draw was a fair result. All the boys deserve credit today as they played very well and showed great attitude and commitment. A mention must go to Liam Duthie, Cameron McDonald and Matt Milne who led the line well. Man of the match goes to Dylan Chapman who along with Jack Chalmers were brilliant in defence.
